I grew up in a small town near Venice, Italy, but I've spent roughly half of my life living abroad. Over the years I've called South Korea, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom home, and each place has shaped the way I see the world. Living in different cultures has also given me the opportunity to learn several languages, and I enjoy switching between Italian, English, Spanish, Korean, and German in my head.

I made my commute to work one of best parts of my day because it's my uninterrupted reading time. I mostly read fiction and memoirs, and I usually set myself the goal of reading somewhere between 80 and 100 books each year. I don't really have a favourite author - I'm much more attached to individual books than to particular writers. Some of the books that have stayed with me in recent years are Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, The Midnight Library, I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki, and Crying in H Mart.

When I'm not reading, you'll probably find me wandering through an art gallery. I enjoy art in almost every form, but painting has always been the one that draws me in the most. If I had to choose a few artists whose work I always return to, they would be Edgar Degas, Canaletto, and Frida Kahlo.

I also have a somewhat niche hobby: keeping an unofficial ranking of the best pain au chocolat in London. It's a list that is constantly evolving, although Pophams has managed to hold onto the top spot for quite some time.
